LLC has been formed to research and develop new technology for non-traditional uses of animal waste. PNC Products’
intention is to find commercial and industrial uses for animal waste to be used as a feedstock for industrial products.
is now financing research at Forest Products Laboratory in Madison, WI (USDA Research Laboratory) to begin the development
of this new technology.
The research project with FPL is to find physical properties of animal waste that allow its use in conjunction with the petrol
chemical industry by combining poly propylene (PP) and poly ethylene (PE) with the dried fiber residues of animal manure.
results have proven very promising particularly using dairy manure. Animal waste material has been combined with PP &
PE up to 50% while maintaining useful properties for commercial applications.
intended commercial applications for these combined PP / PE and animal waste materials are products used by the animal agriculture
industries. Products such as floor slats, feeding tubs, fencing material, non-weight-bearing building materials storage bins
and tanks are all potential markets.
